Calahonda: the most lovely village of Motril

The Costa Tropical is well-known for its beautiful and pleasant beaches. Today we write about Calahonda, a little village which depends on Motril, that is famous for Spanish tourism because of its beaches and its quality conditions. Located between impressive rocky cliffs, this small fishing village it's a perfect recommendation for our guests: it has many restaurants with fresh seafood, beautiful views from its cliffs, a maintaned and surprising sea floor (Calahonda in Spanish means deep cove), a quality beach for every type of visitors and a typical dock with boats (before the tourism boom this area was famous for its fishing industry). If you are into diving or doing snorkel this is your village! Nowadays Calahonda is a touristic area, what it means in summer its population grows a lot, but it's also a village focused on agriculture (during your trip to this site you will see lots of greenhouses).
In opposition to other beautiful beaches, this one is very easy and accesible. Calahonda is just a few minutes east of the city of Motril along the N-340 highway, you won't have any problem to park there. If you are going to Almería, this can be a nice place to do a break.
