Novedades en la Costa Tropical

The almond trees of the Costa Tropical are already in bloom. One of the most spectacular areas are the mountains and towns of La Contraviesa.  We propose the path that joins Sorvilán with Polopos. This last white town was the scene of a popular series with "reality" format broadcast on television in the Netherlands last year.

The Coastal Path  linking the provinces of Granada with Málaga and Almería, is being enabled in all its sections.  An initiative of the Provincial Council of Granada which includes signposting, interpretation and adaptation of the sections for hiking on the Costa Tropical.
It is important news for municipalities, residents and tour operators 
Europeans who plan winter stays in hotels, campsites and accommodation on the Costa Tropical Spain.  Hiking is one of the activities preferred by customers from Scandinavia and the Netherlands

Torrenueva Costa, one of the municipalities  of Granada coast, has built a unique suspension bridge on the Spanish coast, 
that connects one of the sections of the coastal path of the Costa Tropical and that gives access to Playa de la Joya, on a crystal clear cliffs and spectacular scenery. Due to its singularity, location and its surprising "glass sections", the bridge has energized
the visit to Torrenueva Bay on the Costa Tropical Spain.

Salobreña has produced a series of video reports on the municipality related to spaces for hiking, cycling, cultural heritage tours, gastronomy and natural spaces, especially its beaches and spaces protected by its richness in flora and fauna. They have been subtitled in  Spanish, French, English, German and Swedish.

At the top of our region, we suggest a visit to this oenological center, which includes a museum, interpretation center, tasting rooms, visits to vineyards, restaurant and parking. It is located in the municipality of Murtas and is an impressive viewpoint over the Mediterranean and Sierra Nevada. The route is already very popular among cyclists, bikers and tourists who want to discover the landscapes and  hills of the Costa Tropical Spain. The center schedules guided tours and group menus.

Can you imagine traveling 100 km in the mountains through the landscapes of the Costa Tropical? That is the proposal for 2023 in the 1st edition of the Ultratrail "Costa Tropical x100km" that will be held on April 15, leaving from Motril in which the participants will visit 6 municipalities through mountain passes and urban centers: Motril, Vélez de Benaudalla, Pinos del Valle, Guajar Faraguit, Molvizar and Salobrena. The test has the collaboration of the Andalusian Mountain Federation (FAM).
It will have a 100.8 km route with a difference in level of + 3,500 meters that will pass through unique areas of our region and natural spaces located around 
the mountains that surround the Costa Tropical counting on its route with 60% of paths with spectacular landscapes from where you can see the Mediterranean Sea.
The registration period will be open until April 1st.
